Somme years ago I had the job of designing and making an atlas of Ireland to be displayed onn teh Internet, where we showed all the thiings around the coast of Ireland e.g. beaches, marinas, lighthouses, bird santuaries, etc. This had never been done for Ireland before. SO it was a pretty challenged task starting from scratch to come up with the initial ideas. However, there were others on my team to help so we cam e up with the design together, after reading articles onn how others had done it in the USA, U.K and other countries. We were then able to pick the best bits from all these and come up with a new coastal web atlas for Ireland.

I think one of the most challenging things I have done was being involved in a test with our Japanese partners. Trying to understand how they do things, which is quite often totally different to how we do it in Europe, also with some difficulties due to the language barrier, was really a challenging time – while also dealing with really bad jetlag for the first week!

For me the most challenging thing is to be able to work on many projects at once while managing my time efficiently. I’m still new to the industry so it will all come with time.

I think working in the team to put the Philae Lander on the surface of a comet. It was challenging physically (lots of long hours) & mentally (many varied stressful situations). It took a lot out of me but was certainly amazing to do and I look back on it with a lot of pride to have been involved.
